Born in Ann Arbor. Went to WCC first year after high school graduation then was accepted into 4 year electrical apprenticeship. Got married in 1968 (divorced in 1985) Had two sons (1971 and 1975). Worked part-time for Washtenaw County Sheriff Dept and HCMA Metro Parks 1970 to 1983. Worked as an electrician and in construction management as superintendent and project manager for Bechtel Power Corp, Fischback-Natkin, Motor City Electric and Barton Malow Co in Southeast Michigan, Cedar Rapids Iowa, Georgetown Kentucky, Salem New Jersey, Bellvedere Ilinois. Was elected to multiple terms to the National Council (board of directors) Lutheran Pioneers Inc. Was a long term volunteer for TheArk a nonprofit acoustic music venue in Ann Arbor. Was an elected officer on two home owner associations. Participated in the planning of multiple AAHS class of '67 reunions. Have 3 granddaughters ages 17, 15 and 12 years old
