After receiving extensive training in infectious diseases, I was sent by the Armenian Missionary Society to care for the natives of Northwest Ohio. I married a native woman and now live amongst them almost undetected. My habitation and raiment are completely indistinguishable from those around me. Unless you asked me to speak, you would take me for an Ohioan. I have asked the Society to send a steamboat up the Maumee to take me home, but they have refused and thus I remain.
