I'm very much looking forward to seeing everyone at our (gasp!) 50th reunion. Over the years, I've continued to appreciate what a wonderful high school we shared, and how the fine education we received there prepared me so well for the world beyond. In ways, I've remained a student (I've taught and been a researcher at the University of Michigan for many years and I studied psychoanalysis in New York City for 4 years as well). In addition to teaching a few generations of UM undergraduate and graduate students in Women's Studies, Social Work, and Psychology, I've also very much enjoyed my private practice with adults, teens, couples, and groups. My since 2004, my research has offered opportunities for much travel to various parts of Africa and Latin America.

In the early days after high school and during college and graduate school, music continued to be an important part of my life (an R&B band called Radio King and His Court of Rhythm, followed by a jazz band called Misbehavin', lots of musical theatre, and light opera, and choral singing).

I met my husband Marv in grad school and we worked together for a number of years before he angled toward higher ed administration. He retired last spring and now I'm able to draw him back into some of my international projects. We have a daughter, Joanna, who is a legal aid attorney in Oakland California and married to Alex, a child psychologist.

I wish everyone a very happy and healthy year. See you in 2017.
